CERN, or perhaps the demonic element. Adrenachrome is used for something. The most detail I've ever heard is it confers some kind of hallucinations. Hallucinations that feel like maybe there's something more than just the mind playing tricks. Like a more powerful DMT. I'm told (but haven't confirmed yet, sorry) Crowley recommended the use of adrenachrome in his works on dark magic. Suppose that substance, literally terror of innocents, opens up a communion between the consumers of it and extraplanar beings. Are these adrenachrome consumers bad people engaging in these horrible acts in order to gain the power to splice realities and usher in a new world order for selfish reasons? Or did they somehow lose their humanity when they crossed that threshold and become the skin-sacks of demons that now possess them, walking in their skin? If the latter case, one can only guess at their intentions for this world.
There are dark rites associated with the procurement of Adrenochrome that are meant to appease what ever demonic forces that satanists worship. You become what you think about, so the people who play with dark forces are by necessity imbued with the dark energies associated with the demons they worship. There are 2 paths in life one can follow, the King's way, and the Tyrant's way. One leads to enlightenment, and one to unimaginable pain and sorrow.
