I suggeest you to try out Linux Mint, which I also use mainly currently.
There are ISO files shipped with four different desktop environment variants last time I checked: Cinnamon, Mate, KDE and Xfce.

Well, I've settled on ubuntu after trying them all for years, building my OS from scratch with arch, with debian minimal, etc
I know, ubuncrap, but still
In the end it's still the distro that feels the most "orthodox" to me, last time I checked mint had stuffs, little stuffs I didn't like regarding UI, non orthodox stuffs, I don't remember what exactly
Maybe I should give it another try, but then I'll have to migrate all my shit... And that's chronophage....
