What states is smoking 21? The two states I have lived in it's been 18.

Congress/President Trump just recently raised the legal smoking age to 21 from 18. https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/1865?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%5B%22H.R.+1865%22%5D%7D&s=1&r=1

lol really? I don't smoke and I think it would be ideal of others didn't, but I still think they should be allowed to and that this is a dumb change.

States where you'll have to be 21 yrs or older to buy cigarettes: Texas, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, Virginia and Washington.

Tbh, this is fucking retarded same with the rise in age for alcohol. Raising the age limit to stop drinking & driving by MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers) didn't really stop underage drinking at all and I seriously doubt it that raising the age to 21 for buying cigs and vapers will prevent kinders from buying them.

I never got into cigs because of love being fit and healthy, especially running. Gotta have good lungs for 2+ mile run in the morning and cig smoke gets everywhere, also it does nasty things to your endrocrine and reproductive system because of the 40K chemicals inside of them.

What also doesn't work is the fucking D.A.R.E program.

Yeah I don't think I know a single person that worked for. Those who didn't do/try drugs, it wasn't thanks to DARE.

I used to know a professor who worked in DARE for a research project on the effectiveness of the DARE program. Over two year study and many interviews with parents, teachers, school districts about the program. He discovered that the program did nothing of value for anyone while it wasted taxpayer money. The only reason it was kept in schools around the country was that parents loved the idea of having police officers in their child's school.

One day he had to present his report to the DOJ. They looked over it and decided to keep DARE active anyway despite the evidence proving that the program was wasting money and it really wasn't working as intended. Getting the news afterward pissed him off and one student asked about the DARE program one day in class, this Prof went on a insightful three hour rant about how the DARE program was shit. Gloves off too.
