Joseph-Marie Rouault (2019). Anthology, The Vision of Drumont. Reconquista Press, 420 pages, 24 €

Preface by Fr Olivier Rioult

Edouard Drumont (1844-1917) was not only able to highlight, with extraordinary clairvoyance, the mechanisms of the deleterious action of the Jews and Freemasons on the French society of his time. He also contributed, to a large extent, as Charles Maurras pointed out, to laying the foundations of modern nationalism. Despite its importance in the history of ideas, his thinking remains largely unknown, even within the national right. One of the reasons is undoubtedly that his work, abounding, is more of social history than political doctrine. The immense interest of Joseph-Marie Rouault's work, in the development of Drumont's Vision, is to have brought to light Edouard Drumont's philosophical, political and social ideas of current events, anecdotes, digressions and various considerations. in which she was somewhat buried.

Published in early 1944, this anthology was put to the drumstick after the "Liberation". We are happy to reissue it enriched by a preface by the abbot Olivier Rioult and a tribute article by Lucien Rebatet published in Je suis partout. We hope that it will help to rediscover Edouard Drumont whose fight for Christian civilization remains, unfortunately, more relevant than ever.
