The funny thing is I can. After smoking for years I just decided don't want to anymore and threw what I have in the bin and that was it.
The problem is even more than a decade after, when life gets stressful, I keep thinking about pulling one out of the pack and lighting it.

Up until the 1960s, American cigarettes came in packs with a lead foil lined paper wrapper. These canned cigarettes likely used lead solder on the sealed seam. So in addition to a goodly dose of tar and nicotine, heavy metal exposure was also part and parcel of the total smoking experience.
Used to steal a pack of unfiltered Camels from my father occasionally in my youth when I was broke. Those were some heavy hitting smokes - give you a real buzz, but probably nothing compared to these. So glad I quit 40 years ago...
