They did release BIOS/EFI patches, but people noticed a 25% drop in CPU performances, on average.

Some claim Intel did it on purpose (disable some security/checksum code at the built-in sub-kernel level) to increase the performance of their CPU compared to the competition. lol

You're referring to spectre and meltdown, right? Those are exploiting that particular flaw?
