Technically, that's a pretty fucking big deal if the ballots got invalidated because of that

And as far as I know... Yeah legally speaking, this is potentially ground for vote cancellation

https://www.ladepeche.fr/2022/04/23/presidentielle-vote-blanc-vote-nul-abstention-quelle-difference-10253962.php

>The blank vote is different from the null vote. The invalid vote corresponds to non-regulatory ballots, without an envelope, torn or annotated, which cannot be taken into account in the results and which are declared invalid during the counting. Note that those with slight imperfections, such as a printing defect, will however be counted because these defects are not the result of the will of the candidate or the voter.

>Since 2014, blank ballots have been counted separately from invalid votes. But, as before, they are not taken into account in the number of votes cast.

This was in 2017 https://www.franceculture.fr/politique/record-historique-de-votes-blancs-et-nuls-la-presidentielle

>Historical record of blank and invalid votes in the presidential election 08/05/2017 By Eric Chaverou 11.44% of voters cast a blank or invalid ballot in the ballot box, according to final figures from the Ministry of the Interior. A record for the Fifth Republic which can be explained by a strong "ni-ni", polls giving a second round played in advance and growing political anger.

2017 Nuls 2,24% of registered voters, 3% of voters Blanks 6,35% of registered voters, 8,52% of voters Abstentions 25,44%

MACRON 43,61% of registered voters, 66,10% of voters LE PEN 22,36% of registered voters, 33,90% of voters

They "Ministry of the Interior" haven't published the official page for 2022 yet...

Technically she's on an upward trend and he's on a downward trend compared to 2017, she got 41 and he got 58, but still
