Radical convergences of the radical left with « working class neighborhoods »: The French radical left shares a common point with the State it is fighting against, that of designating under the name of “popular district” a place where a majority of immigrants, or those from an immigrant background, resides, thus reserving this qualifier of “popular” to this single population and therefore by depriving the poor indigenous population.
