Contemporary "warrior" myths in the radical Left
Without going back to the International Brigades, we can identify two major conflicts whose episodes regularly nourish the radical left: the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the fight of the Kurds for an independent state. A count, as a “survey” of articles or actions on “international” subjects published on the Rebellyon website, the center of radical left activities in Lyon and its surroundings, gives the following result for the year 2018.
Kurdistan and Turkey: 33% of publications.
Palestine and Israel: 32%. A total of 65%.
