My second batch of ice cream going now. Making Vanilla ice cream, adding Oregon sweet cherries with no additives or preservatives and softening some white chocolate to crumble up in there.

Seems to cost me about a quarter of what the "good" stuff at the market costs. But mine has no additives, preservatives, or garbage in it.

2 Cups Heavy Cream 1 Cup Whole Milk 3/4 to 1 Cup Sugar or Maple syrup or Honey 4 to 6 Egg Yolks (Makes it "Richer") Dash of Sea Salt 2 Tsp Vanilla Extract.

Note: This is not my recipe, I found it on the internet. Except the cherries and white chocolate part, I made that shit up on the fly.

's inner foodie is tormented by all these food posts!

Cooking is poetry.

It is science, experimentation, service, love.. so many things really. The world runs on food. Without it, the world does not exist.

We just have more interesting ways of doing things than pulling something from the land and eating it.

Technically the world would exist, we however wouldn’t take part in that!

We need to find a way to combine cooking with home improvement to make posts extra bothersome for him.

Excellent, be sure to use A2 milk for even better taste and a milk protein that is way more easily digested by humans.

I try to get A2 or Raw milk when I can. Hard to find around here for some reason but whenever I go down to TX I can find it really easily.

Apparently it's manufactured in Boulder Colorado.

Its still hard to find within 100 miles+ Kind of lame.

Looks good! Kinda reminds me of my homemade mayo lol, I'll post a recipe next time I'll make some.

I've not had much luck making Mayo. Post your recipe and I'll give it a whirl.

Going to be looking forward to it. We have a Russian store we get our mayo from but have made our own in the past. I would really like to see how you make it.

Damn it. I am going to have to buy one of these huh?

Anyone know where I can get a "old" KitchenAid pre the crap they seem to have been selling for around the last 10+ years? The second hand shops and flea markets around me are picked clean but "trendy" fucks that go to them daily to buy up all of the old stuff to sell on ebay for $1k+ or whatever.

I got mine about 8 years ago and have not had any issues with it. I think that the walmart/target models are not the same as the jcpenny/department store models. I know you'll do your own research, don't just take my word for it.

I'd be on my 600lb life if I had one of those.

When I was a kid we had one of the old hand crank bucket ice cream makers you threw salt and ice in. You cannot surpass the goodness of homemade ice cream.

Nice! I have one of those too. Makes great ice cream.
