Cleaned them super well, rinse the hell out of them, cut them up with sugar to macerate. Went to eat some and I could instantly taste a bizarre almost volatile chemical taste (think flea medicine smell).

Twenty bucks worth of mutant giant strawberries tossed in the trash because these (((c*suckers))) have poisoned this earth into no return.

"...Friedman (((where ever you look, there they are))) explained that it’s possible fungicides were seen in high concentrations compared to other types of pesticides because they are often sprayed on produce later in the process.

Farmers usually spray fungicides after harvest to protect crops from mildew or mold as they are transported to the grocery store.

Aside from fungicides, testing also revealed the presence of the neonicotinoids acetamiprid and imidacloprid which, as neuro-active insecticides, can harm bees and other pollinators. Neonicotinoids have also been linked to issues affecting the development of children’s nervous systems.

Testing also confirmed the presence of pyrethroid insecticides like cypermethrin and bifenthrin. While there are fewer studies on these pesticides, existing research has warned that they may also harm children’s brains.

More than one in 10 pear samples tested positive for diphenylamine, a compound that is currently banned in the European Union over cancer concerns.

While most of the pesticides detected in the Dirty Dozen are legal, scientists also found acephate, an organophosphate insecticide that is essentially prohibited for use on green beans.

One sample tested positive for levels at an alarming 500 times the Environmental Protection Agency‘s (EPA) legal limit."

Of course we have "legal" limits for neurotoxins in our food.

I taste this with cucumbers.

You would think with our advanced technology we could flavor our pesticides better

You mean like macdonalds and sheeeit?

[–] 1 pt

Did you get them from the farmer's market?

[–] 0 pt

No, a store but farms use pesticides and insecticides and hormones (some farms now use human sludge created from "liquid cremation")

I tasted it with potatoes this year too.

It's unsettling because it reminds you you are being poisoned and your children are being biochemically deranged and rearranged.

I bath/wash them in iced water with White vinegar.

I wash the hell out of them and this was the first batch of several that tasted really bad...

Strawberries are one of the most highly pesticided foods on the market. A 10 minute soak in a water/baking soda solution removes as much as possible.

Not sure baking soda would neutralize an organophosphate...the jew proclaimeth...

"...We must be careful not to rush to label glyphosate as excessively toxic to humans because when used properly and in proper quantities it is probably no more dangerous and toxic than other effective herbicides on the market. Unfortunately, most effective herbicides and insecticides could be classified as neurotoxic and carcinogenic because in high enough concentrations they can be toxic to biological systems"
