This is one of those times where it seems there is a joke I don't understand, help!

When you're GF say's she's not hungry, doesn't order anything, but the proceeds to eat all your fries, or whatever. LOL

hah, that is odd, never seen that before. although our dates have been shared-food establishments, which is much the better for dates IMO

It's on of those standard tropes ya see in movies and such. Woman and food kinda thing ... she wants her date to think she hardly eats ... say's she doesn't want anything. Then proceeds to eat half of his plate. LOL. I'm not sure it happens so much in real life, but like I said, standard screenplay plot kinda thing.

It's a gimmick.

Why wouldn't your girlfriend be hungry?

I think it's supposed to be a way for the guy to get extra food without asking for it by name.

Me: what would you like to eat?

Her: nothing, I'm not hungry / on a diet / already ate

Me (thinking): I'm feeling about 70% hungry / I need to eat this much protein and carbs to hit my macros. I'll get 7/10 size meal.

Scenario 1:

I order the exact amount of food I need, she eats some of it, my macros are fucked up because I can no longer track what I ate or how much, and/or I'm still hungry, but not enough for another meal.

Scenario 2:

Last time I was in this position, she ate some of my food, so I'll get an 8/10 or 9/10 size meal, so I can set aside some for her.

She's actually not hungry, and now I have all this extra food that I either force myself to eat, or it will go to waste.
