I used palm sugar since it was what I had. I also add a bit of homemade dough enhancer to any breads I make. I didn't have butter for some reason and used avocado oil.

It is crazy soft and has some sweetness to it.

Likely. I buy sets of recipes on cards off ebay. I have some old cookbook pamphlets I need to scan. Stuff like junket which I still need to try. I have a feeling I'd love it.
