I saw Kroger's selling 4 individual potatoes for $4. Used to be you could get a 20 lb bag for that much. Good luck even finding a 20 lb bag anymore. Even the ones in a 10 lb bag are small and not great quality. Are fast food places buying up all the good, cheap potatoes or what?

Sweet potatoes are super easy, just leave them on the counter till they sprout, snap off some of the sprouts and stick the sprouts in the soil. They take all season to grow and then you have to harvest and leave them in a cool dark place for a few weeks to let the starch even out or something. But the will grow like the are fucking invasive amazing yields too. I had some in a raised container, the vine got out and now have some growing along side of my house.
