I saw Kroger's selling 4 individual potatoes for $4. Used to be you could get a 20 lb bag for that much. Good luck even finding a 20 lb bag anymore. Even the ones in a 10 lb bag are small and not great quality. Are fast food places buying up all the good, cheap potatoes or what?

I tried growing some in a big planter before but it was kind of paltry. I also grew them in the ground but I think I dug them up too early, and all I got were new potatoes.
