I live next to a small town, one grocery store. In house butcher. The ribeyes and other beef just taste off. I wouldnt eat the fruit and vegetables anymore if you paid me. Fuck maybe its time to break into the storage.
I don’t know what it is, but everything in the last ten years has gradually started tasting like shit. Maybe my age, but many agree. Plus, if that’s the case why does all the poison junk food still taste the same as usual.
I thought the same thing. Stuff along the lines of, "I remember beef tasting beefier, fish tasting ocean-ier, I guess I'm getting old."
Then relatively recently I had some steaks fresh butchered from the family farm after not having done so for many years. Grass grazing natural cow. Everything I remembered about beef.
It ain't you, it's what they're doing to the food.
Yeah, I grew up on grass fed pre gmo corn finished for marbling beef. It was delicious all on its own. Haven’t found a store or butcher yet who’s meat is consistently good. My high school buddy still lives in the area we grew up in and raises a couple a year. He said finding calves to start is get’n harder and your lucky if it don’t get sick and cost a bundle. Doesn’t know if he’ll bother next year.
If you don’t grow every bit of your food on land you know well you have no idea what you may be ingesting. Makes me wish I grew up Amish.
To me its just been really off lately, I mean two years ago a ribeye was great. I assume you mean junk food as mcD's and shit. I dont eat that anymore.
No and yes. McD and the others, I don’t eat there unless forced to and it doesn’t taste anything like it used to. I meant like snacks. Fritos, how ho’s and the like, which I don’t eat, but recently did just to see if they tasted off or if it was me. It ain’t me.
