They are getting rid of the play places too.

I think it is intentional that they don't want you in the restaurant. They want you at the drive thru window or curbside pickup. They don't want to employ staff to take your order or clean the restaurant.

Pretty disappointed in the whole meat issue & know exactly what you mean about even ground beef being "off." I thought my taste buds changed bc I've tried everything from 65/35 to 95/5 ground beef from different stores and always tastes funny unless I get it from local butcher who sources from local ranchers. Glad you mentioned that, bc GF says I'm crazy and things taste the same but I can tell it's not right.

Would like to purchase another entire cow or half cow so as to get better quality meat, but I need to replace a deep freezer and finish building a smoke shack to dry and cure some meats.

That is the thing to do. Raw, unadulterated meat straight from a rancher who will butcher it for you without all the USDA poisoning processes. My brother gets his that way and it is delicious.

There’s a restaurant/bar about 45 min from town in the middle of cattle country that serves these two inch thick burgers that hang over the bun by about a half inch for $12 with chips and drink. Best damn burgers you can find. I finally got the owner to admit he was get’n his beef straight from the local rancher.

As for store bought even if you season the shit out of it for tacos or chili it still tastes like shit. Even the so called better burger joints suck. Take a bite of just the meat alone and it’ll piss you off. That’s why they make all those fancy ass named burgers with all kinds of shit on them. It’s to cover up that manky ass meat.

I never thought about that, but makes complete sense.

$12 is a great price for a good burger nowadays. I usually have to resort to getting some good uts on sale and mincing the meat to make my own if I want something decent.

Me and and a buddy went in on a nice all SS grinder to make our own. It’s been about a 50/50 success rate with store bought cuts.
