Get em from a local farmer and ask if the eggs have been washed. Chances are good, they haven't washed the eggs. (Would be an absolute pain in the farmer John's ass.) Unwashed eggs don't need refrigeration. (Another reason farmer John didn't wash them.) Poke around on social media. Nextdoor app, Facebook, etc. Drive down a country road. Totally worth it. Farm fresh egg yolks have a vibrant orange color and taste so smooth. Store bought eggs have a dull or pale yellowish color and there's no flavor.
