I was buying some off brand non gmo non soy from waynes feed store when mountain valley was out of our regular feed. Debby and I both bought some and the girls stopped laying. The bag Said 16% protein but it could not have been. So, I added raw ground beef daily and they were laying with in a week. I now get my non gmo, non soy from the tucker line over in Hiawassee.

Coupled with reports of chickens not feathering out after molting it does point to low protein. Either a major manufacturer was up or maybe new gmo crop with indigestible protein..,
