I read a post that gave a convincing argument that chitin in the covid vaccine is the cause of these blood clots we've been seeing. I don't have the link on me, but I was thinking of it when I saw my bottle of krill oil and wondered if the stuff I've been taking is bad for me. I was wondering why I've seen krill oil pills available more and more lately at the store vs the fish oil pills I grew up seeing.

Anyone know? And does anyone know where I saw the person talking about chitin so I can reread it?

(There wasn't a supplements sub so I used this one).

There might be some trace amounts in krill oil. I would imagine the manufacture process would use a filter to remove the shell fragments down to a particular level. What remains would be small and in fairly low concentrations (otherwise you'd be able to see it as a condensate in the translucent pills).

I haven't heard of chitin being in the covid jabs, it might be though as it has been tried out as an adjuvant in immune therapies for cancer, I think. It does have an effect on the immune system. Having said that, eating a small amount of chitin is very different from injecting it into your body. Your digestive system is probably quite able to handle a small amount (you occasionally eat bugs and there are already non-zero allowable limits for arthropod parts in food, mushrooms also contain chitin). The inclusion of insect protein, produced by crushing up dried insect bodies, which would include all of their chitin as a substantial part of the diet is something that is not well tested. They are pushing ze boogs down our throats with such speed and abandon that I am very skeptical of their motives. Insects have never been a major part of the human diet, changing that could have unforeseen consequences.

That's pretty much what my guess was, but I was wondering if anyone with a microscope had looked at it since the stuff I'd been reading.

I'm probably gonna switch back to fish pills just out of paranoia anyway though.

If you're concerned about them containing chitin, then switching to an alternative would be best since even if there is no difference, your concern that there is could trigger physiological effects (a psychosomatic effect). There's no downside to switching (other than maybe a slight cost difference).

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Even if it's fine, I'll psyche myself into being sick. Thanks for validating my thinking.
