It was limit six... lol. People are hording eggs?

[–] 4 pts

They killed all the hens cuz 'muh bird flu'..

But they actually just want us to die.

Love is to die. Love is to not die. Why don't you dance and dance and dance?

[–] 2 pts

Love is what the Supreme Court allowed faggots to do, and now look at the country.

We would usually get six dozen any time we went grocery shopping, once or twice a month. There's five of us, and we all love eggs.

Hell, we're knocking on $7 doz here in parts of TX..

[–] 1 pt

where I am they are at $8 a dozen. I find the price offensive.

[–] 1 pt

I've seen wallstreetbets guys speculating at $12/dozen for this year.

I know what you mean, this is awful (pic8.co)!!!!! Though these are organic pasture raised. A standard dozen is like $3.49.

Can't wait until spring when the rest of my flock starts laying. Right now we only have three layers, so we usually get three eggs a day. Spring comes around, and they'll get to eat a lot more bugs and other goodies. Can't wait for those glorious double yolks again.

I'll get some laying hens soon. Right now I'm enjoying the free trade amongst the neighbors. The price of local fresh eggs are getting lower each week from the competition. You know, like it should be.

Nice. That would be a nice benefit to this shortage. People getting their own hens.

I'm lucky to live out in farmland. Plenty of fresh to chose from.

I found $0.30/egg today. And $0.22/egg if you bought 120+ eggs at a time. Down from $0.40/egg a week ago. These are for five dozen packs.

We will probably never see 99 cent a dozen ever again.

Not unless the price of feed and food in general comes down. It's certainly possible. But certainly not desired by the puppeteers.

Eggs or a huge part of my diet, both cooked and raw so I’m just gonna have to suck it up and pay whatever they want. I buy organic eggs for five dollars a dozen already. Next time I go to the store they’ll probably be more, but it’s such a cheap source of protein that it doesn’t matter so much for me. I’ll spend 30 bucks on six dozen eggs and that’ll last me a week.

Chicken itself is cheaper than the eggs now.

Neighbour gave me a dozen fresh ones because they had too many.

If you can, it's time to move.

What do you think is the point of this?

How could a shortage of eggs even happen?

[–] 0 pt

they've been over 7 dollars a dozen near me lately.

absolutely batshit insane.
