That'd be awesome!
The wife is always happen when I change things up and cook for her instead haha.
Same here. When I cook it's mostly basic stuff like ham and eggs. Schnitzel with breadcrumbs is also my job. For some reason my breadcrumbs stick to the meat better than hers. I'll talk to her, just know that some of her recipes are 'not an exact science'.

That's how my wife is too and it drives my engineer brain nuts lol
This is going to be metric, so keep your conversion machine at the ready.
Dough: 250 g Curd 10 Tablespoons Oil 1 Teaspoon Salt 400 g Flour 1 Pack Baking Soda
Topping: 750 g Onions 400 g Sour Cream 1 Tablespoon Flour 200 g Cream 1 Egg 1/2 Teaspoon Caraway Salt/Pepper/Nutmeg to taste 200 g Bacon
Preheat Oven to 180° C, upper and lower heat
Put some oil onto the baking tray
For the dough, put Curd, Oil and Egg into a bowl and mix. Mix Flour and baking Soda, put into the Curd mixture using a sieve, while stirring. Knead a Dough and evenly spread onto the prepared baking tray.
For the topping, peel Onions and use a plane to cut them into thin rings. Use a pan with some oil on the stove to glaze the Onion rings, then let them cool down.
Put Sour cream, Flour, Cream and the Egg into a bowl. Add ground Nutmeg, Salt, Pepper to taste. Put bacon and the cooled down Onion rings into the bowl, stir well.
Spread topping onto the prepared dough evenly.
Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown.
Original (German) recipe she more or less adheres to https://pic8.co/sh/avdUD8.jpg
Found out today she kept that printout for six years. I would've made a PDF. Women are weird.
