Lunch for $5? I usually eat a whole day's worth in less than that.
Today was $1 of ham, $0.50 of milk $0.50 of lettuce, and $0.20 of salad dressing, and $0.50 of pie to top it off.

Random food for under $5 but with random previously purchased ingredients thrown in to make the whole meal purely about consumption rather than nutrition or even enjoyment. It like something a child would eat if left to their own devices. A bunch of empty calories and topped off with cake. $5 could have given him a much more nutritious and delicious meal if he actually cared to have one.
Yeah, I kinda feel bad for him. He gets trolled in the comments, too. Seems like a nice enough bloke, though.
I get the feeling he is a lifelong single guy. Never had someone cook for him outside of his mother and never learned to prepare anything more involved on his own. Perhaps he's a widower who's just making it the best he can, but still he should take a little more care and learn more cooking skills. He can obviously use YouTube so it's not like he is incapable of watching some other cooking videos.
Noooo, soup has a lot of salt and will KILL YOU! Heart attack!
Are you being facetious?
No. Soup is bad for you man. Too much salt.
Maybe if you make shitty ultra-salty soup.
