How can you tell it's authentic?

Because I spent a lot of time in Asia, but if someone didn't know the typical tastes there are some indicators. Generally none of them are buffets, you'll see strange shit on the menu instead of Chow Mien and General Tso's Chicken. Almost everyone of them will have some form of chicken feet on the menu.

Most Chinese restaurants in the West are cooking a westernized version of authentic dishes and you can tell by the excessive amount of MSG used.

Asians don't like salty dishes the way westerners do.
