Reminds me of a shitty thing that happened to me.

I rented out a house to someone who I knew for years, friend of the family someone who we thought we could trust. Anyways, I had an expensive Bianchi bicycle in the garage along with some other stuff I was storing in there. I went to get it one day and it was gone. I found out later, he sold it as scrap metal... What The Fuck....

You know, I'm with Florida man on this one. I just don't see the value. $33k for rare coins? Really?

Anyone who buys collectibles like that is some combination of acting out some kind of compulsive behavior and playing a game of bigger sucker (ie: hoping some other weirdo will pay more for them later). Often the latter is a justification for the former. Mental illness.

Florida man is right. Coin star is right. $29.30.

So I collect silver, bullion and numismatic. Idk, I don't feel like a sucker.

I do it more as a hobby than an investment, but a lot of the stuff does appreciate in value.

It's funny to me when people say they are saving precious metals for when the economy/society collapses. Most people will be dead in short order and precious metals are heavy to move when mobility will be a key component of survival.

I guess if they have them buried out in the yard in a safe place they can find after shit calms down it might work out in the long run, but in the beginning weapons and ammo and the knowledge and numbers to use both would be king.

I think it makes some sense to save precious metals as diversification. As the dollar collapses it will retain value. Society collapsing, probably not the best bet. You can't eat a gold coin.

Well damn you throw out a word like "numismatic" and I might as well just admit I'm wrong and then go jump off a cliff.

I'll grant you coins made of more valuable metal have more value. And bullion... that's not collecting in the sense I'm referring to that's just a different store of value.

Hoarding gold like a dragon is cool. Fine, some of your coins are probably cool too. I just see a headline like "30k worth of coins" and instantly feel very suspicious.

Yep. That's one of those things where there might be a "book" value, but in the end you still need to find someone to pay that. So in the end it is worth what someone will pay for it. Even if it is bullion you're not going to get a buyer that will pay the spot price. It is almost always below that unless it has some kind of numismatic value as well.

kek, with the spicy take. Solid

They might flame you for spamming, but you do have some fun posts.

So a white nigger? The kind of faggot that does 300k in damage to get a few hundred in copper recycling. Just die already.

Ur off to a good start but you're gonna have to post more if you want acknowledgement. https://poal.co/u/Garglemysac

I really don't need acknowledgement. Already had everything wiped out a couple times and don't give a shit anymore. I doubt the people who run this site are even white if I'm being honest.

“if I’m being honest.” “if I’m being honest.” “if I’m being honest.” “if I’m being honest.” “if I’m being honest.” “if I’m being honest.”
