According to a statement from the North American Aerospace Defense Command, commonly referred to as NORAD, the incident happened sometime around 1:15 p.m.
"The situation was resolved safely," NORAD officials later posted on X.
According to a statement by the agency, the civilian aircraft violated a "temporary flight restriction," which simply means airspace that is off-limits to non-authorized planes. They are commonly deployed for important locations or places where political VIPs are.
