Sometimes my job doesn't give me the choice, so I avail myself of other options.

I have to agree with @NoisySilence on this one. Voting is something we should make plans for if we are going to vote. It should always be done in person and on the singular day it is intended to occur. We should have made election day a national holiday a long time ago so that employers would have to work around their employees right to vote. Mail in and early voting are both tools for fraud since there is no way to determine if they will be counted correctly (or at all) and the early counts will give the fraudsters a preview of the direction the election is going so they can step up the fraudulent ballot manufacturing and "loss" of their adversaries' ballots. There's no excuse for not having a single, federal holiday for showing up in person at the polls. If voting worked in the modern time, I'd say we should push for this but sadly the fraudsters would kill it.

I agree. It should be a national holiday with voting from 7am to 7pm and nothing except essential services open.

I understand what you're saying. I'm offering the where we are vs where we should be. In an ideal world, it shouldn't be an option. Your inconvenience would be irrelevant. As should be for something as important as voting should be. Accordingly, the significance would in turn be a factor in where you are and your company/work would take it into account.

But today we have mail in voting which exclusively exists to facilitate fraud so people can pretend it makes sense for the sake of convenience.

If I can plan for it, I do the early voting thing. But how reliable is that?
