Wow. Hope this kills public education. Education isn't a human right. It should be considered optional.
Education is critical to an informed citizenry. Maybe this will unlock the union's death grip on our current form of public education, break up the unions, put the power back in the hands of parents to remake public education into a quality learning experience again.
I disagree. Education should be optional, not a human right. People who can't afford it should seek assistance from their local charity or church or religious institution to help them educate their kids. Government has no business educating anyone.
It isn't a human right, or at least not listed in the bill of rights.

I think the Federal Govt has no place in education, it is a states rights matter. Local control over education so the kids education is controlled by the parents.
