I know you guys don't care, but I've started my weight loss journey anew and I'm going to post my progress here on s/fitness. I've been going to the gym the past couple weeks and I'm feeling really motivated. Here's my stats, as of today:

  • Age: 30
  • Height: 6 ft
  • Weight: 268.6 lbs (down 1.4 lbs from last weigh-in)
  • BF%: 34.9% (according to my scale)

Today at the gym, I did bench, military press, skullcrushers, tricep pulldowns, and face pulls. Tomorrow's leg day.

Great.

But keep in mind it's just as much what you eat as what you do.

I'm watching my calories. I'm using the thing where you multiply your bodyweight by 12 and use that number as you max calorie intake. It seems like a lot, a little over 3000 for me, but I've been putting down 5000 calories a day easy, so it should work. If I don't start losing weight, I'll lower my intake by 10% until it works.

Good stuff.

I'm usually pretty good at watching mine. It's the beer that kills me. You can easily drink 700 to 800 cal just by throwing back a few IPAs.

Mountain dew for me. And the fact that I can eat a whole pizza by myself.
