I know you guys don't care, but I've started my weight loss journey anew and I'm going to post my progress here on s/fitness. I've been going to the gym the past couple weeks and I'm feeling really motivated. Here's my stats, as of today:

  • Age: 30
  • Height: 6 ft
  • Weight: 268.6 lbs (down 1.4 lbs from last weigh-in)
  • BF%: 34.9% (according to my scale)

Today at the gym, I did bench, military press, skullcrushers, tricep pulldowns, and face pulls. Tomorrow's leg day.

Awesome!

What is your first realistic goal?

[–] 2 pts

I'd like to get to below 250 pounds. It's been a long time.

I f you want to lose weight, it is way better to control your diet.

Exercise is awesome, but exercise is best for gaining mass/being happy

Dieting is for faggots, work out hard enough you can intake and much as you want, as long as it's good intake.

Dont sit around eating potato chips like a dumb nigger obviously

I know. I was something of an athlete back in the day. I wrestled and played football. And I was part of a varsity athletics program that focused on strength training. I always felt that losing weight was like 80% diet, 20% exercise.

Start really simple.

3 pushups a day.

1 mile walk,

and write enough poems until you question your own sexuality.

Walk 6 miles a day with a weighted vest on up hill. Weight starts falling off you to the point you cant keep it on.

Lifting weights at the gym doesn't make weight fall off like walking 8 miles a day with a weighted vest on.

Completely disagree.

Working out makes you happy.

Dieting makes you lose weight.

I've only been working out for 30 years, and lost 80 lbs in the last year walking with a weighted vest on...

So I obviously know nothing of what I'm talking about.. /s

You're seriously retarded. Go for a walk, plugs you back into the earth too.

I know. I've always felt it was like 80% diet, 20% exercise. I just want to get yoked bro. I'm not really obese in the traditional sense right now. I'm a pretty big individual. Wide shoulders, big thighs. Got a big fat gut tho. I wrestled and played football back in the day.

Pop some tren and estrogen blockers, and eat nothing but chicken, rice, and a veggie. Substitute fish every other day or so. That's how you build lean mass, eat a steak on the weekend. That's if you're going for yoked

Naw, just protein and creatine for me. And a lot of shoulder exercises. Military press, flys, face pulls, monkey shrugs.

I'm about to get back on my Snakejuice diet (youtube.com). Only way to go to lose weight unless you're a pussy. Life is too short to fuck around.

Great.

But keep in mind it's just as much what you eat as what you do.

I'm watching my calories. I'm using the thing where you multiply your bodyweight by 12 and use that number as you max calorie intake. It seems like a lot, a little over 3000 for me, but I've been putting down 5000 calories a day easy, so it should work. If I don't start losing weight, I'll lower my intake by 10% until it works.

Good stuff.

I'm usually pretty good at watching mine. It's the beer that kills me. You can easily drink 700 to 800 cal just by throwing back a few IPAs.

Mountain dew for me. And the fact that I can eat a whole pizza by myself.

Good for you man. I've made some great friends at the gym. I hope you have a great experience

I like the gym. I'm not huge on the whole bro atmosphere. But I've been lifting for years and my form's on point, so I don't get any flak or dirty looks from the gym rats. Screw them anyways if they want to judge me.

Man anyone who would judge you and give you dirty looks is a bitch. That kind of shit doesn't fly at my gym.... Anybody who's there is there to improve themselves and there's nothing but respect for that. My buddies are the friendliest guys there and we've all learned so much from each other. We keep an eye out for assholes and drive them away lol!
