Initial test: 14 - I rolled right from the Initial test into week 1/day 1 and counted the test as my first set. I picked column 2 because column 3 looked like it ramps a little too quickly.

Day 1:

  • Set 5: 10

I start on Week 3. Planning to start first routine tomorrow.

I'll join in too. Won't post the actual number of pushups, but will see if I can keep up with the program week by week.

Day one: Did the initial test + five sets a few hours later. I chose an easier program than the one they recommend based on my initial test, but still narrowly failed to complete the final set despite giving myself an extra 30sec rest time. Guess I'll be repeating this week.

Day two: Stuck to recommended rest times. Failed fairly convincingly on final set, though the earlier sets were fine.

Day three: Started off pretty shattered after going climbing the day before. Stuck to recommended rest times and got through all the sets except the final one. After failing the final set I took another standard rest time and completed the remaining pushups by adding another set.

If you can do 20 on your final set, sounds like you could have done a lot more than 20 for your initial test.

after the final set, I collapsed on the floor...i have never done more than 32...maybe it's physical exhaustion or a mental barrier...either way, i just keep trying
