Yeah it's nearly impossible to out-exercise a bad diet. Another part of the problem is that people who are undisciplined with their eating will view exercise as a free pass to be even more gluttonous.

The sheer volume of exercise one must do to catch up to just a soda and candy bar in excess per day is insane.
Walking is pretty easy and 1 mile burns 100 calories. It's not hard to burn extra calories.

That's trueish. They don't struggle with it. It's just not something they gorge on for existence like hams do, so they often need to make sure they keep up.

Have been tracking calories and macros since Sept 10 2019. I need to eat ~3.2k calories for maintenance. I often only hit 2400-2600 at the end of the day. None of it is a struggle. It just doesn't happen.
