Yup, the company I mainly work for also added a DEI department and chief position.
Two new people who just accepted software dev positions on my team were halted and our team lead had to withdraw their offer because they were white men. Our team it seems is not diverse enough so they may only hire "diverse" people until the ratio is (((better))).
