Ironically, my friends from high school who were a punky grungy alt crowd, many of whom have gone hard left, are the ones who have least unfriended me. More family has unfriended me than that crowd, those are the ones who have saddened me most. All the others were newer. I still have decent debates with the old school peeps.

I used to be a libertarian. My lefty friends all said I was right wing and the ones on the right called me a lefty. Its an odd position. That being said, my libertarian friends were all very tolerant of any speech. You might have been surrounded by a brand of libertarians called lolberts (I just learned this myself check urban dictionary).
