Growing cereal crops indoors would only be feasible in a situation where there was basically unlimited energy available at extremely low cost. The net zero madness that is sweeping the western world, we'll be lucky to have the energy available to cook a loaf of bread, let alone grow the fucking wheat indoors. There is also the small issue of scale, cereal crops are grown on millions of acres. The yeild benefits of a controlled environment would be modest and could never overcome the scale issues.
