just to clarify the most common *threatening* pest affecting honey bees. obviously there's wax moths and hive beetles but those are very minor and only really come into play if your hive dies out. varroa, however, is basically the most devastating thing that is afflicting honey bees right now. the pesticides / fungicides are bad, but varroa is a MASSIVE issue that is killing more hives than anything else.
