My eldest daughter is a degreed horticulturist and finally decided to do this same thing. Due to her previous work, she is highly in demand and makes really good money at it, while being in control of her life. For high-end customers and estates, there's a lot more involved than just digging a hole and sticking a plant in. She manages landscapes, not gardens.
