Lately my cat has started to think that I harass her, but to me I'm just trying to pet her. Her problem seems to be that she stopped believing her entire existence is for me to pet. I provide food and water, a warm place to sleep, and toys to play with, but if I so much as look at her at certain hours of the day that she determines, I get nothing but screaming and hissing. Then in as little as 10 minutes later, she rubs my ankles and purrs. Cats are truly an enigmatic species.
