I have a friend of a friend who is a fashion designer, and they said that they were being paid to design virtual clothing for the meta verse where people would actually PAY to BUY clothing for their fake person, and they were going to have to buy houses, and other items like cars, etc for thier metaverse person to live. That is the ultimate kikery, take real money to buy fake items to have your fake character be able to live. I have zero interest myself, so no way I can or will verify this.
