I'm with @stupidbird on this one. Facebook is still the biggest media and information filter in western nations. The first closest thing to a global ministry of information. The EU's in this situation because it didn't develop a multi-national information ministry of its own because everyone in power was in on the scheme to screw the populace over and dupe them into slavery. I expect in a few years the nascent EU based social media platforms will rise to local dominance, but until then, facebook and the EU must keep up the deception that they're at odds to keep the sheeple duped into believing their dialectic narratives. cc:@lord_nougat
