It doesn't even have to be legal. When you control all of the courts and judges and cops anything you do is automatically declared legal and all challenges to this decision are denied. Just like voting doesn't matter when (((they))) count the votes in secret and don't let you see the counting. You'll never vote your way out of slavery.

Civil Forfeiture is the very definition of a Fifth Amendment violation. "No person shall be... deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation." This is one thing I wished the ACLU would get off their asses on. I know they suck most of the time, but they do have a good track record as far as Fourth Amendment cases goes.
