On April 28, 2021, Keith Andrew Heacook passed away. Keith had been sent to the home of an elderly couple in response to a 911 call. Randon Wilkerson, who had been assaulting the couple, attacked Keith when he arrived, knocking the veteran police officer unconscious. According to a witness, Randon then repeatedly stomped on Keith's head, resulting in injuries from which he never recovered. Keith left behind his wife and 12-year-old son.
