On On April 22, 1974, Carol Naisbitt, Stanley Walker, and Sherry Ansley were tortured and killed. Dale Pierre and William Andrews came to rob the store where Sherry and Stanley were working; the two were tied up along with Carol, her son, and Stanley's father. Dale and William forced their captives to drink drain cleaner, believing it would kill them quickly, like in a movie they had seen. When their victims began screaming, the men tried to shut their mouths with tape, but it wouldn't stick to their oozing blisters. So Dale began shooting. He killed Carol and wounded her son, then killed Stanley and wounded his father. After repeatedly raping Sherry, he killed her as well.
Before leaving, Dale noticed Stanley's father was still alive. He placed a pen in the wounded man's ear and stomped on it, driving it into his eardrum and out through his throat. Despite all this, Stanley's father survived. Carol's son also survived, though he suffered brain damage and chronic pain for the rest of his relatively short life.
