On April 20, 2016, Eric Devlin Brantley was attacked after work. Eric had been walking to his motorcycle in the parking lot when Jahmal Green, De'Andre Murphy, Victoria Deas, and London Maybank pulled up in a car. Jahmal and De'Andre got out and shot Eric in the stomach, arm, and head, then the four youths drove away with the dying man's cellphone. According to detectives, when they apprehended Jahmal and showed a picture of Eric to the 17-year-old suspect, "He began rapping to the victim saying, 'fuck him, fuck this, I shot him in the head, I shot him in the head,' and rapping all over, took the picture said 'fuck it' and threw it on the floor."
