On April 9, 2020, Madison Lee Renfrow-Farley was killed at a party. In what appears to have been a failed robbery attempt, a group of men entered the home where Madison was visiting with some friends and shot the 18-year-old. Though the perpetrators were recorded from a nearby camera, they have not yet been identified. A few weeks after the killing, Madison's mother pleaded for answers in a social media post: "Maddie deserves justice and her family deserves justice... Madison was at the wrong place at the wrong time, she was by the back door unplugging her phone so she could go home, she was on her way out the door when people walked into the house to rob them and they shot her in the head. There was nothing left of her beautiful face, you stole that from her as you stole her life, her son's future and you stole my heart."
