On March 8, 2005, Laura Kate Winterbottom was attacked in her car. Gerald Montgomery raped the 31-year-old and beat her to death in what authorities described as a "random act." Laura's mother blamed the assault on the "sense of entitlement" that "many men" have, adding that "as parents we [need] to teach our sons, our male children to be more respectful toward women."

That is a head scratcher here. I've heard of entitlement before, but I've NEVER heard of someone feeling entitlement to beat a woman to death. Sounds like she is making excuses for the attacker.

Insane that even after losing a child people are still in the dark.
