On March 2, 2017, Charlotte Lahr was beaten to death. Kevin Quander had come to her liquor store with a knife, planning to rob her. When he went behind the counter, Charlotte tried to escape. A surveillance camera recorded Kevin chasing Charlotte around the store, pulling a wine bottle off a shelf, and using it to strike the 46-year-old mother in the head dozens of times.
