On February 19, 1995, Tracie Joy McBride was beaten to death. The previous evening, Louis Jones had come to the military base where Tracie was stationed, looking for his ex-wife. He changed his plans and kidnapped Tracie instead. He took the 19-year-old to his house, raped her, imprisoned her in a closet, forced her to wash herself with hydrogen peroxide, then drove her about 30 miles out of town and hit her in the head over and over again with a tire iron.

She didn't know him, she was just minding her own business when the nigger decided to do some TNB

McBride was on the telephone with a friend, and in a laundry facility when she was abducted. Two privates attempted to rescue McBride, but Jones rendered one, Private Michael Peacock, unconscious by hitting him.

At the end of her life, McBride was in a romantic relationship with a member of the U.S. Marines.
