On February 16, 2022, Jared Galen Bridegan was ambushed and shot to death. Jared had been driving home with his two-year-old daughter when he found his path blocked by a tire in the road. As he got out of his vehicle to clear the way, investigators believe the father of four was murdered by a stranger named Henry Tenon. According to Jared's wife, their daughter took some time to process what she witnessed that night. "Early on, she talked a lot about the sounds of the gunshots. She even said, you know, 'Daddy on the ground,' which makes me believe she saw him there when she was removed from the vehicle."
