On February 7, 2019, Kyle Justin Yorlets was outside his home when he was robbed and killed. 16-year-old Decorrius Wright, 15-year-old Diamond Lewis, 14-year-old Roniyah McKnight, along with a 13-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl, were driving a stolen truck in an alley near Kyle's house when they saw him. They took his wallet at gunpoint, but when he resisted handing over his car keys, they shot him. Kyle made it back inside, where he was later found by his roommate.
